SURPRISE Backpack FREE Crochet Pattern

This pattern is one that I designed back around 12 years ago. I had submitted the design to a major publication....but it was rejected :(  Disappointed, I tucked the pattern away in my notebook....bringing it out every once in a while to make as a gift. Lately the trend of "planned pooling" has been one that I just could not bring myself to try after seeing the frustration that some experience while trying to get that pooled pattern just right. Then I remembered this pattern and how the variegated yarns pool in different ways with SURPRISINGLY BEAUTIFUL results without all the stress!!!

I love to watch the way the different color patterns unfold in this simple pattern. The “SURPRISE” is in the way the variegated yarn reacts in this design! It is not planned pooling….it is more like SURPRISE pooling. I hope you enjoy the versatility of this little bag as much as I do!

Remember....I am a human and sometimes make mistakes!!  If you find an error with my pattern, please let me know in the comment section and I will try to correct it as soon as possible!!!
