Meandering Paw Print BABY BLANKET free Crochet Pattern
Welcome to my blog and to the newest addition to the Meandering Paw Prints pattern library!! Meandering Paw Prints Baby Blanket is a collaborative design between me (Amy B) and Donna (of Donna's Designs). She came across my scarf pattern and after making it as a scarf she came up with the concept to expand it into a baby blanket! Everyone who saw it wanted the pattern!! Donna approached me about this and asked permission to link to my pattern. I told her that was perfectly fine, but that if she was okay with it, I would like to merge the patterns into one so that there would be no need to flip between patterns. She AGREED and here we are today with a BEAUTIFUL unique keepsake!
Donna and I have never met personally. I live in S. Texas, US, and she in Suffolk, UK. But through the power of the internet and the love of crochet we were brought together to create this beautiful project.
Donna is a stay at home mom that learned basic crochet as a teenager, but it was some 30 years later that she taught herself to read patterns so that she could make all of the beautiful projects that she was seeing. Her business page on Facebook is called "Donna's Designs" and she has regular customers that order custom designs from her so that she can BUY MORE YARN to make more beautiful creations!!! Click on her store name above to take a look at some of the lovely things that she has made!!

Repeat rows 2-25 one more time. Then repeat 2-13 once.
Rnd 1) On this round of edging ONLY you will need
to count the ch 2 turning chain as a stitch on the paw print panel corners and
work into it to make this edging work out evenly. Continuing with CB
working down the side of the blanket, ch 1 (do not count this ch as a stitch),
sc in top corner of first row, * ch 2, sk dc at end of row, sc in top of next
row. Repeat from * down side, 3 sc in corner stitch (you will have 61 ch 2 sps).
**Ch 2, sk 1 st, sc in next st. Repeat
from ** across, 3 sc in corner st which is the beginning tch on row 1 (you will
have 61 ch sps). Repeat from * all the way through one more time. 2 sc in same
st as first sc of rnd. Sl st to first sc to join. Finish off CB.
Rnd 2) Join CC with a
SDC (see instructions for SDC at top of
pattern) in the FIRST st of previous rnd. Ch 2, sk 2 ch, dc in next st, *ch
2, sk 2 ch, dc next st. Repeat from * across with the last dc in the first corner
st. (Ch 2, dc next st) 2 times. Repeat from the first * across 3 more times. On
last corner Ch 2, dc next st , ch 2, sl st in top of 1st SDC.
Rnd 3) This round of the edging may seem like there are too many stitches for
it and it won’t lay flat. Do not worry, the next 2 rows will work that out.
Trust the pattern. Ch 2, dc in same
st, 2 dc in ch 2 sp. * (Dc next st, 2 dc in ch 2 sp) across. 3 dc in corner st,
2 dc in ch 2 sp. Repeat from * around. Sl st in first dc to join.
