Fingerless Mitts - Knit Pattern

After making the crochet pattern for the fingerless mitss I had requests from several knitter friends to figure out a knit version.  It took a couple of tries and I came up with this really cute pattern. So simple and NO increases or decreases!!!  You can easily make these larger by going up a needle size or longer by just knitting more rows!!!

This is an Original Design by Amy B Stitched.  Feel free to make for profit, but remember to give credit to me, and link back to my blog

pdf version availble here
Give it a <3 or add it to your Ravelry queue here.

  • 2 oz worsted weight yarn
  • size 6 knitting needles
  • yarn needle
  • tape measure

Gauge: worked in stockinette
5 sts = 1 inch, 6 rows = 1 inch

Cast on 38 sts.
Row 1-10:  K1, P1 across
Row 11:  K1, P1.  [K4, P1] across.  K last stitch.
Row 12:  (right side)  P1, K1.  [P4, K1] across. P last st.
Repeat Rows 11 and 12 until piece measures 5 ½” ending with a wrong side row.
Next 4 Rows:  P1, K1 across.
Bind off loosely leaving long end for sewing.  Mitt should measure 6 ¼”.  With right sides together stitch 2” down from the top and 2” up from the bottom.  Weave in all ends.

Be Blessed!!
