TRUST......Inspiration for the Stitcher
Proverbs 3: 5-6
Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him and He will make your paths straight.
Have you ever had something happen that just made you go WHAT????? In the WORLD was THAT???? You might have had feelings of anger, depression or be just down right indignant.
Well, this past week I had one of those moments. I discovered someone had borrowed one of my pictures from my Etsy store. They were using it in their own Etsy store to take orders for this custom piece of crochet. My first reaction to seeing it was disbelief. My second was ANGER! I was SEETHING!!! I was soooo close to sending the NASTIEST, accusatory message I could think of at the moment. But........as I sat thinking about it....prayerfully considering the best way to go about this....I was prompted to seek the advice of others in the professional crochet community. They were quick to give me sound advice in how to handle this situation with grace!! I took the advice and gracefully confronted the borrower. She quickly apologized and removed the photo and listing from her store.
I was relieved that it had been taken care of so quickly. And I am ashamed to say I was so close to losing my testimony and credibility as a Christian. I spent the next day scouring my Bible for scripture to help me come to grips with what had happened. I came across two verses to help remind me of how I should behave.
Colossians 4:5-6 Walk in wisdom toward those who are outside, redeeming the time. Let your speech always be with grace, seasoned with salt, that you may know how you ought to answer each one.
James 1:26 If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one's religion is useless.
These verses brought me to my knees because I was SOOOO close to throwing so much away in my fit of anger. But then this morning as I sit pondering the situation God brought a verse to my mind. The very one I started this post with. It has been very special to me for many years.
Trust in the Lord with all your heart (do I do that daily??)
And lean not on your own understanding (sometimes God will give me words from the scripture...sometimes He will send me to someone else for His wisdom in how to handle something)
In all your ways acknowledge Him (Do I give him the praise and glory for giving me what I need?)
And He will make your paths straight. (and He DOES...not in my time...but HIS!!)
Proverbs 3:5-6
God's promises never fail if we just trust Him and seek Him when we are lost in a situation and do not know which way to turn. He will always direct us in the way to go.
Be Blessed,

Oh Amy, I am so glad that you posted this today! I also was reading the word this morning when 2 Corinthians 10:5, struck my heart. "We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ." KJV
