LUCID WAVES FREE Cowl Pattern
WELCOME!!
I hope you enjoy this pattern I call "Lucid Waves". The rolling waves are pleasing to the eye and as you work through the pattern you will find yourself falling into a rhythm. The cowl is made with approximately 85g of size 1/fingering weight yarn, which makes it light and warm at the same time. My yarn of choice for the project is Red Stag Fibre, Estate Fingering. There is such a large selection of colors to choose from! If you have every wanted to try hand dyed yarn, this is the perfect one skein project!!

Repeat Rows 2-13 four more times.
Repeat Rows 2-12 one more time. Do
not finish off.
With right side of cowl facing, butt
the edges of the first and last row together. Sl st in the first stitch of the
first row, then sl st in the first stitch of the last row. Alternating back and
forth between the first row and the last row, slip stitching only one side at a
time. This will form an “icing” like
chain on top but will not be noticeable as it will follow the ridge pattern in
the back side of the hdc. Continue until
entire seam is complete. Do not finish off. Continue with first edging.
EDGE:
Rnd 1: Ch 1, working around the edge
of the cowl, sc evenly around. Sl st in
first sc to join.
Rnd 2: Ch 1, turn. Hdc in each st
around. Sl st in first hdc to join.
Rnd 3: Ch 1, turn. Sc in each st
around. Sl st in first sc to join. Finish off.
Repeat for other edge of cowl.
