ROLL STITCH SNOWFLAKE PATTERN

Back about 10 years ago I was designing patterns for a company that was publishing leaflets that featured the roll stitch.  I came across this little snowflake in my design notebook and decided to add a couple of variations to it and share it with you.  It takes very little thread and works up in a snap.  You can stiffen it using a commercial stiffener and add a hanger for an ornament or gift tag hanger, or you can skip the stiffener and stitch it to a sweater, jacket or stocking as an accent.  The roll stitch can be a bit tricky to make at first......but keep trying and before you know it you will have mastered it.
